In Sanatan Dharma, karma is one of the most misunderstood concepts.
People often believe karma is only about actions—but the truth is much deeper.
🧠 How Karma is Created
Our senses gather information and send it to the intellect.
The mind interprets this information:
- Good or bad
- Pleasant or unpleasant
This creates sensations and emotions in the body, organizing our internal energy.
🔄 Karma is a Pattern
When this process happens unconsciously again and again,
it forms a pattern — and that pattern is called karma.
- Pleasant result → feels like “good karma”
- Unpleasant result → feels like “bad karma”
But in both cases, karma is either increasing or solidifying.
🎯 The Real Goal
The goal is not to accumulate karma,
but to dissolve it.
Karma becomes so strong that it travels with the soul across lifetimes.
This accumulated karma is called Sanchit Karma.
📚 Types of Karma
- Sanchit Karma – accumulated karma
- Prarabdha Karma – karma assigned for this life
- Kriyamana Karma – current actions (modifiable)
- Agami Karma – future karma
Changing present actions changes future outcomes.
⚖️ How Karma Increases
Karma works on three levels:
- Thoughts
- Emotions
- Actions
Even without action, thoughts and emotions create karma.
- Thought alone → karma
- Thought + emotion → more karma
- Thought + emotion + action → maximum karma
⚠️ Heaviest Karma
What people call “black magic” creates extremely deep karma,
which is very hard to dissolve.
🌼 When Karma Stops
Karma does not accumulate when:
- You act selflessly
- You rise above likes and dislikes
When you serve humanity beyond personal identity, karma dissolves.
🔱 Conclusion
कर्म कोई सज़ा नहीं है, बल्कि एक प्रक्रिया है।
और जागरूकता (awareness) ही इसका समाधान है।
